Updates from 11th January to 25th January
Upgrades
- Added two evolutionary upgrades for the pistol (Shotgun and Zenith)
Balance
- Game session time increased from 10 to 15 minutes
- Adjusted balance and made the game "playable"
- Victory now requires defeating all enemies instead of just surviving until time runs out
Fixes
- Fixed a bug where the "SFX" slider did not affect footstep sounds and orange-eating sounds
About mutations – that's beyond me. Discipline and motivation alone (which I don’t have for this game) aren’t enough; I’d need a gun to my head to actually sit down and do something about it. The sound designer said, "You've outgrown it, you're not gaining any experience from it anymore, so that's actually a good thing, not a bad one."
So, I won’t be adding full-fledged classes to the game, just a couple of mutations for variety (HP regeneration, increased orange pickup range).
To make the game feel truly complete, bosses need to be added – which is what I’m working on now. I really need to wrap this game up by the end of January and move on to something more interesting and challenging.
